Are you looking for a pallet jack forklift?

The wide world of forklifts is vast.  There are at least 25 types of forklifts on the market today and any number of sub-types available.  We’d like to start, today, to discuss the most of basic forklift varieties, namely the pallet jack forklift.

This most elementary variety of fork lifts, the pallet mover, comes in both powered and non-powered versions. Both are used for moving heavy and stacked pallets by putting the forks underneath the the pallets and raising them 4 to 6 inches off of the ground and transferring them slowly to the desired location.

The typical specifications for most of these pallet jack forklifts are:

  1. Each of its forks are 7” in width.
  2. Distance between each fork can vary.  Commonly they are 20¼” to 27”.
  3. The fork lengths available are 36”, 42”, and 48”.
  4. The lowered height of the forks is 2.9”.
  5. The raised height is 7.5” or higher.
  6. The Load capacity can be as much as 5500 lbs.
